The Business Analytics Manager is responsible for the build and direction of Multiquip’s analytics department through utilization of marketplace data to drive insights and deeper understanding of the overall market as well as current customers. This position will provide leadership to support data driven business decisions and partner with cross functional teams to build scalable analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Work with related stakeholders to identify and establish analytics direction and lead the buildout and operation of Mutiquip’s Analytics team● Oversee team members in conducting analyses within focused categories to monitor, analyze and report on competitive positioning and marketplace trends● Guides strategic business decisions by analyzing selling channels and price positioning and their impact on Multiquip’s overall profit structure● Consults with key stakeholders to help define business questions and identify the most appropriate data and analyses to address these questions● Defines and develops reports and analyses to meet customer needs; provides project direction and oversight to ensure alignment with key Multiquip department objectives● Drives department use of business tools like SQL, Tableau, etc. to extract and transform raw data into usable analytics tools and interactive, visual dashboards. When appropriate, work with IT to create and refine available data structures● Utilizes known industry databases (RER, AEM, Dodge Construction Central, Dunn and Bradstreet) and identifies new sources to analyze construction trends for customer fleet planning and end user lead generation● Understands competitive position in the marketplace including customer/competitor trends, pricing, promotions, product launches, selling channel trends, etc. and makes data driven recommendations to relevant parties on how to enhance or maintain that position.● Contributes to development of standard operating procedures for competitive price and data collection, manages database and drives regular analyses on our position within individual product categories. Presents data to relevant stakeholders● Conducts regular meetings with key decision makers to assess regional and overall market opportunities and discuss related information about marketplace positioning● Participates in field research to answer questions about demand, supply, construction market characteristics, industry information, or specific market intelligence via survey, voice of the customer panels, and other data collection methods. Works with marketing / product management teams to disseminate and analyze findings● Collaborates on implementation of monthly promotional strategies while measuring and reporting on campaign KPIs

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college/university in Business Administration, Statistics,Marketing, and 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencein Product Management or Business Analytics. Experience in the equipment industry is a plus but not required.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in use of MS Office Suite
  • Proficient using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.
  • 5 years of experience working with databases and data modeling
  • 5 years of experience in lead generation / industry databases (construction industry not required)
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Experience in building and managing a team
  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong Analytical skills – able to quickly identify trends, opportunities, and business solutions
  • Experience working in SAP a plus
  • Experience with Python, R, and other programming/statistical platforms a plus

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base pay range of $110,000.00-$125,000.00/year
